Beer Cheese Soup

Beer Cheese Soup

Ingredients:

* 1/2 cup butter
* 3 cups chicken broth
* 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
* 1/2 cup chives
* 1 cup flour
* 16 ounces cheez whiz
* 6 ounces beer
* 1 1/2 cup cream

Preparation:

1. Melt butter.

2. Add broth and add small amount of broth to flour; mix, then add to butter mixture.

3. Remove from heat, beat with wire whip.

4. Add remaining ingredients.

5. Cook on low in slow cooker 4 hours or all day.

6. Top with popcorn

Beer Shrimp

Beer Shrimp

Ingredients:

* 1/2 pound Shrimp, 16/20 size
* 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
* 1/2 teaspoon Pickling Spice
* 1/2 cup Beer (like Jamaican Red Stripe Beer)
* Lemon for garnish
* Cocktail Sauce


Preparation:

1. Place beer and seasonings in a small pot.

2. Cover and bring to a boil on high heat.

3. Once beer reaches rapid boil, add the shrimp and cook about 4 minutes.

4. Chill in ice water.

Beer Sloppy Joes

Beer Sloppy Joes

Ingredients:

* 1½ pounds ground beef
* 3 tablespoons olive oil
* 1 large green bell pepper - chopped
* 4 large garlic cloves - chopped
* 1¼ cups of beer
* 3 tablespoons chili powder
* 1 can diced green chilies - 4 ounces
* ¾ cup bottled chili sauce (can substitute ketchup)
* 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
* 1 cup green onions - finely chopped
* 6 soft sandwich buns


Preparation:

1. Heat oil in heavy large pot over medium-high heat.

2. Add ground beef (or ground turkey), green pepper, and garlic. Sauté until meat is browned - approximately 10 minutes.

3. Mix in chili powder - stir for 1 minute.

4. Add beer, green chilies, chili sauce, and Worcestershire sauce next.

5. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until mixture thickens, stirring often - approximately 15 minutes.

6. Mix in green onions (optional - season with salt and pepper).

7. Serve on soft sandwich buns with American or cheddar cheese.

Carrots In Beer

Carrots In Beer

Ingredients:

* 4 Carrots -- Large
* 1 tablespoon Butter
* 1 cup Dark Beer -- Any Brand
* 1/4 teaspoon Salt
* 1 teaspoon Sugar

Preparation:

1. Peel and slice carrots into long, thin slices.

2. Melt butter in medium-size frypan; add beer and carrots.

3. Cook slowly until tender, stirring frequently.

4. Stir in salt and sugar.

5. Cook for another 2 minutes and serve hot.
